Not for Sale

Every day, countless young girls are sold into sex trafficking, right here in our country. Not in a faraway land, but here in Canada. They cross the U.S. border as part of an organized sex operation and the demand is high. More lucrative than drugs or guns: traffickers can make thousands of dollars from a single victim a year.

It happens on reserves, in cities and small towns. It’s not just a First Nations problem, it’s a Canadian and American problem. Children as young as 10 are being sold into sex trafficking in Canada.

This film gives voice to the people of Akwesasne who have had enough.
